A well-known special needs school in the New Addington is looking for teaching assistants to join their team with the view to becoming permanent. There is a range of needs at this school and although you would be based a in one class, you need to be flexible in what age groups you are able to support as you may be required to cover other classes where needed. This role is temporary but with the opportunity of permanent work if successful within the placement.

Some of the needs of the pupils include:
• Autism
• Speech and Language Needs
• ADHD
• Visual Impairments
• Hearing Impairments
• Down Syndrome


You will be:
• Experience within a SEN School setting.
• Be happy to support in sensory games and activities
• Will have a background in Care Work and Support Work.
• Be comfortable assisting in personal care and feeding.
• Confident with challenging behaviour
• A hard working, approachable and nurturing person.
• Able to be proactive, enthusiastic, uses initiative and engages with children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
