Protocol Education are currently recruiting a committed and passionate Science teacher to work in one of schools in Middlesbrough.
This is a long-term opportunity starting from January 2020 running through to the end of the academic year. The ideal candidate for this role will need to demonstrate a trustworthy track record showcasing consistent results and raising attainment, passion towards the academic development of pupils, and ability to engage, empower and encourage students.

As a Science teacher, you would also lead the department and be responsible for the subject across the entire school as well as assess to identify a pupil's numeracy needs. The school expects pupils to progress by at least a third of a level or grade on a termly basis.

The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the below:

• QTS Status or equivalent qualification.
• 3 years' experience working as a teacher in the UK
• Ability to demonstrate methods of assessment.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
• Commitment and reliability.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
• Able to provide two school-based references.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
