This job role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who would like to upskill in the area of care work or are seeking a new career venture working in education. As a care support assistant, your role will be to keep pupils are at the heart of all you do and be passionate about providing the highest possible standards of teaching and learning opportunities. You will be assisting students who are visually impaired, including those who are multi-disabled visually impaired, deaf-blind and have more profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.

Their education facility is a thriving and vibrant learning environment where all students are challenged to work to the very best of their ability. They pride themselves in listening and collaboration, working closely with a wide range of teams within the NHS, who ensure that all children within our community benefit from and enjoy a combined and consistent support.

This is a full-time support position up until the end of the 2019/2020 academic school year, with a competitive salary.

Responsibilities:

·Managing pupil's behaviour.
·Ensuring students engage with lessons, providing academic support and working under the instruction of the class teacher.
·Helping the students with their life skills.

For this role, you will have:

·Previous support work within a school or other child related experience.
·Strong behaviour management and confident with challenging behaviour.
·Happy to work one to one and small group work.
·An enthusiastic and friendly, yet firm approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
