This nursery is looking for a Senior Practitioner. This is an important role and you are expected to provide high quality child care in the setting to continue growth and development of the nursery.

Requirements:

•NVQ Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare
•Minimum 3 years' experience working in a Nursery.
•Experience planning programmes and activities for children
•Paediatric first aid
•Basic food hygiene
•Safeguarding training

An ideal candidate would:
•Have excellent organisational skills
•Experience working with SEN children
•Experience in leadershio role in early years setting
•Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

•To lead the Nursery team to effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met.

•To plan and provide a safe, stimulating, rich learning environment which recognises the individual needs of the child and the community at large

•To adopt the role of Key Person

•To maintain accurate records of key children's development and learning journeys and share with parents, carers and other key adults in the child's life.

•To provide feedback to the senior management team to support the continual development of the setting.

•To support, alongside senior team, other members of the staff team with portfolios, observations and reports.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
