At Protocol we are looking for an experienced teaching assistant that is passionate about working in one of the UKs largest multi academy trusts based in the Uxbridge area.

Our client is passionate about helping young people with complex needs become more independent by using state of the art resources such as a hydrotherapy pool, sports areas and learning lodges in a light, spacious and well-equipped environment.

Special needs teaching assistants will need to support pupils with complex needs to develop skills and help face many challenges in society whether that may be academically, socially or physically.

About the role:
-Working alongside secondary school students aged between 11-19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD), Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), and Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).
-Daily rate between £60-£75
-Working hours of 8.30-16.00pm for 5 days a week.
-Long term contract till end of academic year.
-Plenty of on-site parking and quick, easy transport links nearby.

Specific duties:
-Engaging with SEN pupils and helping them develop their skills.
-Working both within a classroom environment as well as on a 1:1 basis
-Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons.
-Reporting and evaluation individual student progression.
-Working alongside a wide range of SEN professionals, carers and social workers frequently.

Requirements:
-Strong team player with relevant experience of working in a childcare/support working setting.
-Good knowledge of severe learning difficulties.
-Ability to work both individually as well as part of a team.
-Flexible in a challenging scenery.
-Passionate about working in SEN and confidence in providing students to work at their full potential.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS or on the update system.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
