Do you have a sound understanding of the key person approach?
This fantastic open plan nursery in Redhill are looking for a Level 3 Nursery Nurse who is passionate about children's development and have a 'can do' attitude.
If you are an experienced and talented Nursery Nurse and want to be part of a friendly and professional team; this could be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
·Observe, plan and assess activities to ensure they meet the needs of all children in the room and the provision is fully inclusive.
·Ensure children are safe, secure and have their care needs met appropriate to their age and stage of development.
·Maintain the nursery environment both inside and out and ensure resources are clean and safe for children to use.
·To work in partnership with all Children Centre staff, parents and outside professionals to ensure children make good progress and reach their full potential.
·To work as a key person to a group of children
·To continue to develop professionally by reading relevant books and materials to ensure practice is up to date and relevant and ensure 'outstanding' practice is achieved.
·Understand and implement relevant documentation such as Safeguarding, First Aid and Food Handling and ensure that you work within these frameworks in order to ensure children are safe.
·To work in other parts of the Children's Centre such as the Crèche and Holiday Club when required.
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
·Two to three years' experience in a similar role.
·Experience in the EYFS
·A Childcare or Early Years Education qualification equivalent to NVQ 3 or above.
·Experience of working within 1 or more of the following age groups, under 2's, 2-3's or 3+
·Excellent reading, writing and IT skills.
·First Aid and Safeguarding to at least level 1
Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
