An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SEND teaching assistant to work on a 1-1 and small group basis with children in one of our SEND secondary schools. This exciting offer is brought to you by Protocol Education, a renowned recruiting agency in the UK.

The successful applicant will need to have experience working with secondary age pupils who have SEND including ASD, ADHD & SEMH. Some pupils within the class also exhibit challenging behaviour that will also need to be managed. The chosen candidate will need to work with the class teacher to tailor the learning material to meet the needs of the child/ children they are supporting and will have to be skilled in the development of children with complex needs. The school has clear, shared values that underpin everything they do and the successful candidate would work as part of their team to ensure all pupils within the class are challenged and progress.

The successful candidate will:

Be an experienced teaching assistant with a background in supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD & SEMH.
Be an experienced as SEND teaching assistant, supporting students within the classroom.
Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
Be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
Ideally hold a Team Teach qualification, although this is not essential.
Hold a valid and current DBS certificate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
