An independent specialist school with students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) between the ages 3-19 are looking for an experienced learning support assistant to provide effective, specialist education and support to pupils and their families.

With a unique mix of education and support put in place to provide a personalised teaching style for each individual so their needs and addressed and capabilities are fully realised.

You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team providing a combination of different skills and knowledge therefore you must be able to be versatile, committed and adaptable.

About the role:
-Immediate start with flexibility to work 3-5 days a week
-Working hours between 8.30-16.00.
-Requires minimum 3 days' work.
-Daily rate between £60-£75.
-Close public transport links around Hillingdon area.

Specific duties:
-Encouraging pupils to learn effectively in a group situation as well as individually.
-Assisting pupils with additional difficulties, making use of resources and equipment provided.
-Prepare classroom tasks for students.
-Assisting with physical health care needs.
-Working on either a 1:1 or group basis.

Requirements:
-Experience in mentoring/teaching for those who have challenging behaviour or complex learning needs.
-Always looking to learn and constantly improve.
-Passion and commitment towards helping young children develop in a positive way.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
