Protocol Education are working with well established SEND School based in Uxbridge, who are seeking learning support assistants to work with pupils across the Higher Education phase. This position is to start immediately going into to the whole of the academic year.

They are a special school committed to support children with a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorders and social communication difficulties. They pride themselves of being a Skills for Life college and they have support from outside services like from speech and language therapists and occupational therapists. They believe that each pupil needs to be listened to, and each child is unique; they have a tailored teaching approach and with the small class sizes they achieve this in many different ways.

The role:
• 4 days a week, term time only
• 8:30-4:30pm
• Based in the Borough of Hillingdon; specifically in Uxbridge
• Working on a long term role starting immediately

You must have:
• Experience of working with PECs or Makaton is an advantage
• At least 1 year of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• Experience of supporting older student, or from a care environment
• An Adult and child DBS on the update service, or willing to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
