Behaviour mentor needed for SEND School in Hillingdon supporting students with Autism- Immediate start

We are working with well-established SEND School based in Uxbridge, who are seeking 2 learning support assistants to work within their school on a long term basis. The school have mainly PLMD pupils so it is vital that you have experience with this type of SEND. This school pride themselves on their sporting abilities, so they are seeking someone who is open to doing sports for part of the school day.
The school support pupils who cannot cope within a mainstream environment and have been excluded, the school support the pupils by having small class sizes and by ensuring all of the staff members are committed to their all round well being inside and outside the classroom.

The role:
• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30-4:00pm
• Based in the Borough of Hillingdon
• Working across their Secondary site
• Working immediately for the rest of the academic year

You must have:
• Experience of working with PECs or Makaton
• At least 6 months of experience working with PLMD or challenging behaviour
• Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary or Secondary age in any capacity including sports coaching or youth mentoring
• Team Teach trained or be willing to undertake the training which is provided by Protocol Education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
