My client is a secondary school based in Uxbridge being one of the UKs largest special multi- academy trusts. Supporting students aged 11-19 with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

This role will require someone with an adequate amount of experience and be willing to take part in personal care duties such as feeding and changing. Each child will have specific needs therefore, we are looking for someone who is open minded and willing to take on this challenge.

It is essential to have a passion for helping young people become more independent so that they can meet many challenges in society. With state-of-the-art resources such as a hydrotherapy pool and specific life skills area, you will be sure to have plenty of resources to ensure children are supported appropriately.

About the role:
-Long term contract until end of academic year.
-Daily pay rate of £60-£75.
-Free on-site parking & nearby transport links.
-Immediate starts available.
-Working hours: 8.30-16.00.

Specific duties:
-Supporting students on a 1:1 basis.
-Providing help and support to students both in and out of school.
-Create individual plans for each child.
-Working alongside teachers, therapists, tutors and families daily to keep them up to date with student progress.
-Taking part in activities and encouraging children to reach the highest of their potential.

Requirements:
-Good knowledge of special needs.
-Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team.
-Always willing to learn and improve.
-Provide a positive atmosphere to the school and students.
-Provide a DBS that is on the update service.
-Be able to provide two references from your most recent employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
