Seeking Senior Practitioner role (Early Years)- 40 hours per week (Salary depending on experience) based in Wandsworth



Duties include:
- Maintain and replenish resources in the nursery environment
- To record observations and assess children's next steps in learning
- Maintain standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the nursery
- To provide first aid
- To attend monthly team meetings
- Attend parents evening and open days to promote the nursery
- To undertake appropriate in-service training
- To display children's work in a variety of ways
- Any other reasonable duties and required by the manager/deputy manager
- To be able to undertake cooking, cleaning, laundry duties, washing and changing children including personal care, and any other duty which is necessary, to ensure the upkeep of the nursery and the children and staff within it
Early Years Practitioner Person Specification:
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- A warm, caring and patient nature
- Team player
- Ability to accurately assess and record child development
- Creative ideas for activities
- A sense of responsibility
- An awareness of child safety issues and safeguarding
- Understanding of customer care
- Understanding of the EYFS
- Ability to self-reflect to raise quality standards
- NVQ 2/3 will consider unqualified if training
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
