Protocol Education are looking for experienced teaching assistants that are looking for long term/permanent positions in January 2020, this will require you to work with children with special needs such as autism (ASD) and speech and language difficulties in the borough of Kingston. Although the school are recruiting for staff for the new term it is very likely that this job will continue to the end of the academic year and through to September.

This is an 'Outstanding' school with students from KS1 all the way through to post 16, this school are known for taking on staff on a permanent basis once they have passed a probation period. The school like staff that have the relevant experience but also value personality and work ethic, if you have a lack of experience but are keen to work within a special needs environment please feel free to apply.

As a specialist LSA, successful candidates will need the following experience and skills:
• Experience working within the child care sector
• Experience working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure.
• Be able to differentiate work to support needs of children.
• Experience in personal care such as feeding and changing.
• PECS and Makaton experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
