Pastoral support with Secondary Schools - Bradford

I am working with several secondary schools across Bradford who have an increasing demand for pastoral support; such roles involve supporting the progress and welfare of students, acting as their mentor.

The ideal opportunity for individuals with a background of educational psychology, youth work or SEN and behavioural support or perhaps you are a teacher looking to focus more so on pastoral support for students.

This role will involve supporting students with their personal circumstances, behavioural problems within school, academic attainment, attendance and general welfare. You will liaise with other members of staff to ensure that educational setting of the students effectively meet their needs.

Individuals need have a high standard of interpersonal skills, be approachable and able to communicate effectively in potentially challenging and sensitive situations.

You need to be a highly adaptable person able to adjust your approach to work dependent on each students' personal needs and circumstances, including students with SEN and behavioural needs, you will work 1-1 with students and with small groups.

Sims experience within a school is ideal but not essential, applicants need a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
