We have an outstanding college based in the heart of Uxbridge looking for a teaching assistant to support SEND students ages 16 and above. You will be improving these young people's opportunities and outcomes in a vibrant, happy, caring and safe environment.

You will need to be able to work well with a classroom of 30 pupils preparing them for life after college through developing social, independent and academic skills. Students are supported in work opportunities with local businesses and community groups and with the positive can do' attitude from each member of staff, each student will always be encouraged to have amazing outcomes.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking for career progression in the education field.

About the role:
-Based in Uxbridge with close transport links nearby.
-Daily rate between £60-£75.
-Working hours of 8.30-16.00pm.
-Long term contract till end of academic year.
-Immediate start with opportunity to work for 5 days a week.

Specific duties:
-Engaging with SEN pupils and helping them develop their skills.
-Working both within a classroom environment as well as on a 1:1 basis
-Planning and preparing engaging and interactive lessons.
-Reporting and evaluation individual student progression.
-Working alongside a wide range of SEN professionals, carers and social workers frequently.

Requirements:
-Strong team player with relevant experience of working in a childcare/support working setting.
-Good knowledge of severe learning difficulties.
-Ability to work both individually as well as part of a team.
-Flexible in a challenging scenery.
-Passionate about working in SEN and confidence in providing students to work at their full potential.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS or on the update system.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
