Religious Studies Teacher Needed

An Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school in South Yorkshire are seeking a qualified Teacher of Religious Education who has UK experience of delivering, marking and assessing all aspects of the Curriculum at KS3 and KS4. The department are looking for a teacher who is passionate, engaging and enthusiastic about Religious Education. The role is due to start from January 2020 and will continue until the Summer Term, where you will be encouraged to apply for a permanent post. The school welcome applicants from both experienced and NQT teachers.

Religious Education Teacher Role Information:
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons to inspire and engage KS3 & KS4 pupils
• Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development
• Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures
• Undertake pastoral duties, such as taking on the role of form tutor, and supporting pupils on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties.

Religious Education Teacher Requirements:
• Have a Bachelor of Education, PGCE or UK recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Have UK experience of teaching Religious Education to KS3 & KS4
• Be an inspirational role model; committed to their own learning and that of others
• Have excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the subject

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
