Our Outstanding client is looking for SEN support in the classroom in a specialist resource provision that looks after 10 children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

You will be part of a thriving school community establishing a good relationship between home and school, so the child is consistent and secure. Our client expects the pupils to achieve there very best, work hard and behave well and are therefore looking for a teaching assistant who will also be a great role model for these students.

If you are keen to develop these young children's talents and are passionate about seeking excellence in all that they do, then this may be the ideal role for you.

About the role:
-Immediate start with flexibility to work 5 days a week.
-Working hours between 8.30-4.00pm.
-Based in the West Drayton/Uxbridge area.
-Working on a long-term basis.
-Daily rate between £60-£75.

Specific duties:
-Help SEN pupils to achieve their full potential and build their confidence.
-Working alongside teachers to assess pupils' levels and abilities.
-Using widget symbols and sign language to communicate and teach students daily.
-Liaising with parents and carers regularly.
-Working in a classroom environment as well as on a 1:1 basis.

Requirements:
-Must be confident to support young people in developing their skills.
-Experience in mentoring, teaching, carer for those who have challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties.
-Passionate about working in SEN.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Be able to provide 2 references from most recent employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
