An independent specialist school for children on autism spectrum between the ages of 3-19 is looking for a behaviour mentor to support their primary school children and allow them to achieve their full potential in education and in life.

You will need to provide personalised teaching and learning in an autistic specific environment allowing pupils needs to be addressed completely and capabilities fully realised. Our client provides a broad curriculum which is meaningful and fun and is looking for an enthusiastic candidate to improve well being and provide a range of strategies to cope with daily activities.

If you are looking to expand your skills in the education field and have a passion for working with SEN children, this may be the ideal role for you.

About the role:
-Immediate start with flexibility to work 5 days a week.
-Working hours between 8.30-4.00pm.
-Free on-Site Parking
-Working on a long-term basis.
-Daily rate between £60-£75.
-Nearby public transport links within the surrounding area.

Specific duties:
-Encouraging student confidence, self-esteem and independence.
-Supporting children in social activities in and out of school.
-Create individual plans for each child.
-Supporting SEN children on a 1:1 and group basis.
-Working alongside teachers, therapists and tutors daily.
-Providing full focus on each individual child giving them more confidence day by day.

Requirements:
-Experience with assisting those with Autism.
-Always looking to learn and constantly improve.
-Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
-Provide a positive contribution to the school.
-Be able to provide a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
-Provide 2 references from previous employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
