Science Teacher Needed Secondary School Leeds and North Yorkshire

Are you a newly qualified or experienced Science teacher?

We have great honest relationships with a Trust of schools around the Leeds and North Yorkshire areas. The Trust urgently needs 2 Science teachers. It would be an advantage if you specialise in Biology but Physics and Chemistry may also be taught to A-Level so if you do have the specialism up to A-Level in any Science this could work as the timetables could be re-arranged.

One role would be to start in February after he half term and another is needed immediately
£115.00 - £170.00 per day based on experience.
Temporary contract potential to become permanent with the school.
These roles are full time but the school would consider a job share for the right candidates.
(We do also need Science teachers desperately for shorter term and daily supply if this is something you are looking to get in to. We have many candidates who enjoy the work of shorter-term assignments as there are less responsibilities).

Whether you are new to the profession and looking for your first long term role as an NQT, or an experienced teacher looking for your next role in a good school with an excellent support system please contact us. If you have excellent behaviour management skills and feel you really can inspire students and add to the already successful Science department this role might be right for you.

We are looking for professional individuals who are really looking to make a difference. You will be passionate about helping students progress and you must have fantastic behaviour management and a solid understanding of the current Science curriculum throughout KS3-5. Biology may give you an advantage. We have excellent relationships with our Head Teachers of the Trust, who cannot emphasise enough right now how important Science teachers are to them. Often our teachers are recruited by the schools into long term and permanent roles.

Responsibilities:
•Effectively manage classroom behaviour
•Adapt teaching style for individual needs
•Teach pre-planned work
•Plan if expected to (time will be given)
•Encourage growth mindset of learners
•Adhere to the school's marking policy
•Excellent time management skills
