An exciting opportunity has become available in one of our Stockton On Tees based schools, starting mid January. The school are looking for a qualified Learning Support Assistant to work with a KS3 child with moderate behavioural difficulties.

Your role of behaviour buddy will be to support and encourage students whilst helping them to focus on classroom based tasks. You will also need to be vigilant and keep on top of outbursts and disruptions. Your role is primarily of benefit to the student you are working with but will provide respite to the class teacher, so consistent behaviour strategies will need to be a constant.

Applicants must have experience working in an educational setting and must have experience working with children with challenging behaviours. The role is initially until April, but the school may be extended until the summer with a chance of the role becoming permanent.

You must have:

·A Relevant qualification in support (Level 2 or 3)
·Experience working in schools or educational settings (Preferred)
·An ability to work confidently with children, with a professional approach
·A valid DBS (Can apply if needed)
·Eligibility to work in the UK
·Two references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
