Protocol Education are currently seeking a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Mentors to work in a special needs school supporting children aged 5 to 16 who have social, emotional, mental health needs.
The school is looking for individuals aiming to provide a happy, stimulating and safe learning environment where pupils are positively encouraged to engage in their learning. Teachers within the school are exceptional practitioners, who work as part of a widespread multi-disciplinary team of specialists to plan individual learning paths, that ensure children are given the best opportunities to thrive and become independent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.

- Working children with SEMH.
- Supporting their everyday activities and any challenges that they may face.
- Working on a 1:1 basis with individuals.
- Supporting teachers in a classroom with lesson planning and managing pupils' behaviours.
- Ideal candidates will have the following qualities:
- A passion for working in special needs.
- Previous experience of working on a 1:1 basis with individuals.
- An Enhanced DBS disclosure on the Update Service, or the willingness to undertake one through us.
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour from young adults and be able to show a calm approach to this behaviour.
