Our client based in the bustling area of Southwark are seeking 2 learning support assistants to work in their school on a full time basis. The Special Needs School serve pupils with severe learning needs which include autism and pupils who have difficulties in mobility and co-ordination, communication and perception and the acquisition of self-help skills.

The school itself is committed to ensuring each pupil has an individualised and tailored education with all adults ensuring their physical and emotional well-being is of upmost importance. You will play a big part in transforming the lives of SEN pupils by providing the right skills, attitudes and qualifications.

The role:
• 5 days a week, term time only
• 8:30-4:00pm
• Based in the Borough of Southwark; specifically in Peckham
• Working on a long term role starting immediately

You must have:
• Experience of working with PECs or Makaton
• At least 3-6 months of working with autism and challenging behaviour
• Experience of supporting pupils of a Primary aged
• Have a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
