This client is a family owned setting which has been part of the local community for over 20 years. Their links to families and the wider community are of utmost importance and the deputy manager is a key to ensuring these continue to develop.

As a Deputy Manager your key day to day tasks will include:

· Leading the quality agenda; ensuring standards are achieved and maintained.

· Providing day-to-day operational support for management, including responsibility for colleague support and role modelling.

· Responsibility for the safety and welfare of children between 2 months and 5 years.

· Maintain close working relationships with other settings, local schools and others such as the Council's Early Years team.

You will need demonstrable management experience in childcare with a good level of parent partnership and a motivation to build upon these experiences and develop the skills to take on increasing managerial responsibilities over time.

Working alongside the Nursery Manager in supporting the day to day running of the nursery and deputising in the Nursery Manager's absence, wider duties will include managing nursery occupancy and communicating with the offsite director regarding any business-related issues during these periods. You will be encouraged to make the role your own the team is always open to new ideas and the director is keen to offer more responsibility as the deputy manager grows in confidence (with commensurate reward including performance related bonus after the probation period).

My client is looking for someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and caring, with previous experience in developing practice using EYFS, strong leadership skills and sensitivity when communicating with parents and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
