Wonderful opportunity for a maths teacher in an SEN school supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. Small class sizes, shorter lessons (35 minutes), and shorter school day (8:45am - 3pm) to facilitate support for the issues faced by the students.

A positive and calm Alternate Provision for young people requiring additional support in a Pupil Referral unit in North Tyneside. The school boasts an OFSTED Good rating and have been commended for their de-escalation techniques.

Role Responsibilities
• Be passionate for Teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues with the ability to deliver Maths lessons to the highest quality

Person Specification
• Calming, nurturing personality
• Experience with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and SEN in young people
• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree with QTS
• Proven experience teaching the UK, or an equivalent, curriculum
• Strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills

Alongside an excellent rate of pay (£90 - £140 per day) this post offers a shorter school day with guaranteed hours Mon-Fri. You would also be eligible to take part in training days run by protocol for free and can access our Team Teach training for a discounted cost of £40. You will also receive support from us through your placements ensuring you are in the right placement for yours and the pupils needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
