Have you completed a degree or have relevant experience within a school environment and are looking for work within a secondary school in Tameside and surrounding areas?

Secondary schools we work closely with, in the Tameside area are looking for confident and motivated graduates that are keen to work within the education sector. The successful graduate or even experienced Cover Supervisor should be able to manage a classroom of children aged 11 16 in a variety of secondary schools. This role of a Cover Supervisor will provide the graduate with valuable experience within a secondary school setting and benefit an aspirational teacher, possibly looking to complete a PGCE in the future.

The successful Cover Supervisor should therefore be flexible and adaptable; able to work within different environments and cover lessons in a variety of subjects.

The successful Cover Supervisors should be confident, able to exercise classroom management skills and should be able to deal with any behavioural issues which may arise. We work with a variety of schools including single gender all girls and all boys' schools as well as schools which have sixth forms as part of their cohort.

The key to the Cover Supervisor role is ensuring that students are interacted with and engaging them in the subject(s) being covered. The role of a cover supervisor is to deliver pre-set work to students in the classroom environment.

This role is highly suitable for:
• Candidates with previous Cover Supervisor experience, with strong classroom management
• Youth workers who may be looking for more school-based experience
• Graduates who are confident and adaptable

Prior experience in a secondary school is not essential but the successful individual should be confident and have strong classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
