COMPLEX NEEDS TEACHING ASSISTANT

Protocol are working with a rewarding SEND that is both a Primary and Secondary School in Westerham.

The school caters for students aged 5-19 year old's PMLD, Autism and Complex Needs. They have a strong academic focus, however are equally keen to promote positive well being and mindfulness.

You will be working in a class of 5-6 pupils providing 1:1 support. Children are grouped based on age, however there will be varying abilities, with some students being non-verbal, therefore PECs and Makaton are a must (training can be provided). There will also be personal care involved, so manual handling training is required. As well as supporting students academically, you will focus on well-being and social skills. Successful applicants are caring, calm and pro-active with a keen interest in SEN.

Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience although previous experience working with students with SEND is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
