Protocol Education are currently working with a vibrant Primary School in the heart of Tower Hamlets who require a Year 1 Teaching Assistant until the end of the academic year.

This two-form entry school was graded good' during its last OFSTED inspection.

In this role you will work closely with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants to create a stimulating and exciting work environment for all students. Your role will include running interventions sessions in Maths and English, assisting students with additional needs and contributing the all-round progress of the class.

Any knowledge of the Year 1 SAT's curriculum would be highly beneficial for this role.

Who are we looking for?

•Candidates with previous classroom experience within the UK
•Experience working with students with SEND
•Experience in a Year 1 class
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•A can-do attitude and a willingness to get involved in the school community
•A strong grasp of Maths & English (GCSE A-C Required)

For the strongest candidates, this could lead to full-time employment with the school.

This role would also be suitable for Graduates who are looking to gain classroom experience before becoming a teacher.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
