My client is a sought after start up within the tech space and they are just about to launch a highly innovative product. This is a new role that will take complete ownership of the ad function. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years’ experience selling digital advertising space, both programmatically and directly to clients, together with a strong network of ad-buying contacts across multiple verticals. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across London, New York, Berlin and Krakow, you will work closely with management to improve the business’s advertising approach and its suite of supporting tools. The successful candidate will be tasked with global expansion of the ad sales team and operations.


Key responsibilities
● Complete ownership of the advertising function
● Support ongoing team growth and development including recruitment, hiring, training, and mentorship
● As a senior leader, you will be a valuable cross functional contributor to our global go-to market strategy
● Identify product and technology gaps through customer relationships and present a point of view to Product and Leadership Teams
● Run weekly forecast meetings and coach Account Executives on strategies to accomplish their goals
● Report on sales activity and manage the revenue forecast
● Work with your team to discuss, plan and implement process improvements
● Identifying potential advertising opportunities for this inventory, together with prospective clients
● Initiating sales discussions through calls, emails and meetings
● Delivering client sales pitches, both online and in person
● Developing pricing/rate cards to optimise the business’s revenue streams at every reasonable point
● Reviewing media placements and ad campaigns to ensure they meet clients’ specifications
● Ongoing account management to provide clients with advice, data and new advertising opportunities

Skills and experience

Essential
● 5+ years’ experience selling digital advertising space directly to clients
● Demonstrable experience bringing new ad products and concepts to market
● Excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills (English language verbal and writing), together with strong negotiation skills
● The ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced, entrepreneurial and results-oriented culture, where team members work collaboratively
● A positive, proactive attitude, together with knowledge of wider internet technologies and trends
Desirable
● Degree-level education
