Cheshire East Council are currently recruiting an experienced children’s Social Worker for their CIN/Cp team based in Macclesfield.
Part-time maternity cover contract.
Covering Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week.
Expected to work from the office for a minimum of two days per week.
The team receives cases directly from the Integrated Front Door, undertaking Child and Family Assessments and working with families through Child in Need, Child Protection and Pre-Proceedings processes. Where care proceedings are initiated, cases transfer to the dedicated Court Team, enabling practitioners to focus on delivering high-quality intervention and meaningful change for children and families.
The role is based at Macclesfield Town Hall, with parking available in close proximity to the office. Car parking costs and work-related mileage can be reclaimed through expenses.
Children’s Social Workers will need at least 3 years’ permanent experience with an English local authority and to be registered with Social Work England, as per DfE rules. This is an agency post and Pertemps can offer you: -
