We are looking for someone passionate about making a difference for older people in our local community to lead our Social Support for Seniors Team.

Doncare provides high quality services in the areas of Counselling, Information and Crisis Support, Family Violence Services, Family Services and Social Support for Seniors.
Our talented team of staff, volunteers and students provide a range of carefully developed, targeted services to the community with respect, skill, and excellence.
Doncare receives funding from Local, State and Federal governments to operate several of our programs and utilises the proceeds of our two opportunity shops and the support of private donations, philanthropic trusts and the community support.

Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate leader whose innovative thinking can build on our existing programs and take them to new heights. This role is 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE). Ideally this person will be a qualified Social worker (eligible for membership in the AASW or equivalent) and therefore be able to supervise students. Otherwise, qualifications in a related field such as community development along with relevant experience would be highly regarded.
The Social Support programs for Seniors incorporates both Social Support Groups as well as the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) which is a one on one program. Both programs support social interaction and connectiveness for senior citizens within the local Manningham area.
The Team Leader is responsible for ensuring KPI’s and targets for both programs are met, staff, students and volunteers are recruited, training requirements are completed, and funding reporting and quality obligations are met.
This role is classified at SCHADS Level 6.
