As we approach 20 years of curing cancer and changing lives, we're building on an extraordinary legacy of fundraising, community engagement and cancer breakthroughs. Our ambition is to amplify our national profile, deepen supporter relationships, unlock new revenue opportunities and ultimately accelerate our impact.

To help us get there, we're bringing together a committee of experienced, forward-thinking professionals who can challenge conventional thinking, share their expertise, open doors and help turn ambitious ideas into meaningful results.

Five specialist roles. One shared objective: growing our revenue and impact.

The Opportunities

We're recruiting for five distinct volunteer leadership positions, each bringing specialist expertise to a collaborative committee.

1. Brand, Storytelling & Insight Lead

Help strengthen Tour de Cure's brand and bring our extraordinary impact stories to life. Drawing on expertise in brand strategy, creative storytelling, audience insights and behavioural science, you'll help build a compelling, distinctive brand that inspires more Australians to connect, participate and give.

2. CRM, Data & Loyalty Lead

Help transform how we understand, engage and retain our supporters. With expertise in CRM, customer data, automation and loyalty, you'll help shape a connected supporter experience, turning one-off participants and donors into passionate, long-term advocates and fundraisers.

3. Digital Performance & Social Lead

Help take Tour de Cure to new audiences beyond our traditional cycling community. Bringing expertise in performance marketing, social media, SEO and emerging AI-powered search, you'll help strengthen our digital presence, grow our reach and convert awareness into participation, donations and measurable fundraising outcomes.

4. Business Development & Partnerships Lead

Help unlock new commercial and fundraising opportunities. Leveraging your expertise in business development, corporate partnerships and commercial strategy, you'll help strengthen our partnership propositions, expand our corporate network and support the development of our philanthropy and bequests programs.

5. Earned Media & Reputation Lead

Help elevate Tour de Cure's national profile and reputation. Drawing on expertise in public relations, media strategy and reputation management, you'll help evolve our earned media approach beyond traditional PR, embracing creators, influencers, digital platforms and emerging AI channels to amplify our impact.

About You

We're looking for accomplished professionals who bring deep expertise in at least one of these five disciplines, alongside a genuine desire to make a difference.

You'll bring:

  • Significant senior leadership or specialist experience in your respective field.
  • Strategic thinking, commercial acumen and a track record of delivering meaningful results.
  • Fresh perspectives, innovative ideas and the confidence to constructively challenge the status quo.
  • Strong professional networks and a willingness to leverage connections where appropriate.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic and outcomes-focused approach, with the ability to turn strategy into action.
  • A genuine passion for contributing your skills to a purpose greater than yourself.

Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector is welcome but not essential. We're particularly interested in bringing diverse industry perspectives and fresh thinking to the table.

Why Join Tour de Cure?

This is an opportunity to contribute your professional expertise to one of Australia's leading cancer fundraising charities while collaborating with an influential network of business, marketing and communications leaders.

As a committee member, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Make a meaningful impact: Help grow the funding available for vital cancer research, prevention and support programs.
  • Shape our future: Influence the marketing and fundraising strategies of an established national charity entering an exciting new chapter.
  • Collaborate with exceptional people: Work alongside experienced committee members, senior leaders, corporate partners and a passionate team united by purpose.
  • Expand your network: Build meaningful relationships with professionals, partners and supporters across industries.
  • See the difference you make: Experience Tour de Cure's extraordinary community, events and the real-world impact of the projects we fund.

The Commitment

These are voluntary, unpaid committee positions, reporting to the Chair of the Marketing Committee.

Members will participate in monthly committee meetings (minimum 12 per year), with additional time between meetings to progress agreed priorities and initiatives.

Meetings will be facilitated through a hybrid model, with opportunities to attend in person at our South Eveleigh, Sydney office or participate remotely from across Australia.

We're seeking engaged, committed contributors who can offer both strategic guidance and practical support, working collaboratively with the committee and Tour de Cure's leadership team.
