Reporting to the Regional Manager, the main purpose of the role is to provide the business with full support and guidance on all relevant matters, to ensure you are a key part of the company’s future development.
You will work closely with the Regional Manager to free up time for their Contracts Team who have always done their own financial elements. There will also be the more usual client applications, subcon payment and also working with management for monthly in-house appraisals, chasing payments and perhaps pre-contract discussions on contractual issues. - Prepare subcontract enquiries and trade packages, ensure the quantities have been taken off drawings
- Carry out and provide analysis, comparisons of quotes and assessments
- Prepare and submit tender documents as and when required
- Prepare and manage all interim valuations and final payment applications
- Monitor all site costs and variations, reporting back to the directors with findings
- Manage the supplier and subcontractor material databases’
- Attend all sites nationwide to assess and provide valuations
- Assist with contract and company cash flow
To be successful within this role you will need to hold the relevant degree or equivalent and have worked within a similar role previously. Experience within civil and building industry is key to this role. A good knowledge of NEC contracts is essential, particularly target cost option C. The NEC contract is what most of the company’s projects involve in one form or another. You will have experience in JCT and other contracts ideally. This role is offering a salary of up to £65,000 depending on experience.
This role is hands on therefore you must be able to work at a fast pace and to tight deadlines. A flexible approach is key as you will cover a wide scope of sectors and sites. You will need to be an organised, flexible and an ambitious individual to join this lively, and fluid business. They will support and guide you on your professional development. There will be travel included in this role, so you must be willing to travel often. A car allowance and mileage will be included in the package.
