Requirements of the role are:
- Early Years Teacher Qualification
- Plan, implement and evaluate weekly and monthly activities taking into account the children’s individual interests ensuring a broad curriculum is covered covering all seven areas of the EYFS.
- Maintain children’s records including observation, assessment and tracking, sharing all information with the child’s parents / carer keeping learning journeys up to date
- To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care of the children following the statutory framework at all times
- To implement and adhere to a consistent daily routine both indoors and outdoors ensuring high quality teaching and learning experiences are offered to children at all times
- To plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and evaluation as required individual child so that they can reach their full potential.
- Liaise with local primary schools arranging visits with reception teachers to discuss children’s progress prior to them moving onto school.
- To develop “school readiness” with the Pre School group this includes developing Phonetic understanding and literacy skills, numeracy skills, developing independence, communication skills and confidence to progress onto the school environment happily.
