We are seeking a Assistant Service Manager on behalf of our client, a reputable car dealership located in Epsom. This Assistant Service Manager role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced motor trade professional to lead the Service Reception department within a well-established group. The Service Reception Manager will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting the dealership's continued growth.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary between £38,000 and £40,000 per annum, with achievable bonuses, giving an overall OT of approximately £46,000
  • 45-hour working week from Monday to Friday, with Saturdays on a rota
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties of an Assistant Service Manager:
  • Overseeing the Service Reception department to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
  • Managing a team to deliver smooth daily operations and high customer satisfaction
  • Supporting the Service Department with administrative tasks, customer liaison, recruitment, and staff development
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and manufacturer standards
  • Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of service processes
  • Assisting in the training and development of team members
Requirements of an Assistant Service Manager:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Service Advisor, Assistant Service Manager, or Service Manager within the motor trade
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and professional approach
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Kerridge, Pinnacle DMS, or similar dealership management systems 
  • Residing in or near Epsom, or willing to commute
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a confident, customer-focused approach
  • Excellent communication skills and a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service
