re you a skilled, solutions-focused Water Hygiene Remedial Engineer looking to advance your plumbing and compliance expertise within a forward-thinking, supportive specialist environment?

A Leading Specialist is expanding its regional operational capacity and seeking a qualified Water Hygiene Remedial Engineer to cover client portfolios across the South of England. The role centres on high-standard plumbing and compliance remediation across southern regional sites, backed by practical logistical planning for capital works: for occasional London-based assignments, you can travel by train with minimal equipment to link up directly on-site with an established London-based remedial engineer. Backed by structured development pathways, this position offers clear technical progression, including sponsored training to achieve your unvented hot water qualification upon successful completion of your probationary period.

The Opportunity:

You will play a vital role in executing critical compliance remedials, rectifying system non-conformances, and safeguarding domestic and commercial water distribution infrastructure. Your day-to-day remit involves:

  • Delivering water hygiene remedial works, including dead-leg removals, pipework modifications, calorifier servicing, and cold water storage tank (CWST) reconfigurations.

  • Carrying out thermostatic mixing valve (TMV) installations, replacements, and servicing across diverse estate portfolios.

  • Completing emergency plumbing repairs, system alterations, and tank remedial works identified through Legionella Risk Assessments.

  • Coordinating effectively on complex projects, including collaborative joint-site execution with regional colleagues and maintaining clear digital compliance logs via mobile tablet software.

Technical Essentials:

To be successful, you must demonstrate high-level technical proficiency:

  • Mandatory: NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent trade qualification) and proven on-site water hygiene remedial experience.

  • Compliance/Systems: Strong working knowledge of ACoP L8, HSG274, and Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations; HTM 04-01 knowledge is advantageous.

  • Experience: Track record executing copper and plastic pipework modifications, TMV maintenance, dead-leg cutbacks, and water system chlorination/disinfection works.

  • Mobility: Full UK driving licence with willingness to cover regional routes across the South of England, plus flexibility for occasional public transit travel into London.

The Package:

  • Competitive base salary of £30,000 – £34,000 per annum (DOE) + overtime opportunities.

  • Company commercial vehicle, and fully expensed public transit arrangements for London site visits.

  • Fully funded career development, with immediate scope to gain formal unvented hot water certification post-probation.

  • Mobile tablet, smartphone, workplace pension scheme, dedicated tooling, and statutory holiday entitlement.
