MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician – Cheltenham
We are recruiting for an experienced MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician or Automotive Technician to join a growing independent workshop in Cheltenham. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' qualified experience, hold a Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, possess a valid MOT Tester Certificate and hold a Full UK Driving Licence with the right to work in the UK.
Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire (GL51)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 Basic (depending on experience and qualifications)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:30pm

MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician Role
- Carry out MOT testing on Class 4, 5 and 7 vehicles, where authorised
- Service, maintain and repair cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
- Complete MOT preparation, repairs and rectification work
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carry out cambelt, clutch and general mechanical repairs
- Attend vehicle breakdowns when required
- Complete accurate job cards, MOT records and workshop documentation
MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' qualified experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Motor Vehicle Technician
- Level 2, Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
- Valid MOT Tester Certificate (essential)
- Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT testing authorisation desirable
- Experience servicing and repairing cars and light commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
