About the company
Our client is an innovative healthcare manufacturer with an extensive range of products made for both local and export markets.  With two Auckland manufacturing facilities, the company manufactures a range of pharmaceutical products and personal care products for local and export markets. Following a strategic decision by the business to close these Auckland Factories  sometime in late 2022/early 2023, this Validation Engineer role is a fixed term position until the end of 2022 with a possible extension should the plant continue after this point.
 
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Validation, this role will support and undertake all validation activities across the GMP compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing site.  This is a critical compliance role where you will be working closely with multiple internal departments, ensuring that hard targets are met and managing issues promptly and without delay in timelines.  

Duties/responsibilities:
  • Ensure all validation requirements within the business are met and maintained
  • Ensure the validation master plan is kept in order
  • Develop, coordinate and implement validation documents and procedures, and maintain these on a current database.
Skills/experience:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific field
  • 5+ years experience in process validation including IQ, OQ, PQ and preferably SQ protocol generation and execution to a developed level
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional working relationships
  • Strong time management skills, able to see and resolve potential issues
  • Ideally previous people management and/or staff mentoring experience
  • Broader QA and GMP experience within a pharmaceutical (or equivalent) environment
  • Computer literacy – MS Office, Minitab etc
