Business is going well with some growth hires happening across multiple offices.

The Role

This is a Senior or Intermediate Automation Engineer opportunity.

So if this is your background read on.

You will be someone who can think as an engineer, look at the process and equipment to be automated, and convert this process to a well thought out and well-structured code for PLC, HMI & SCADA systems.

The Projects Team focus on larger scale projects whereas the Services Team focus on providing automation support to key client sites and smaller projects including upgrade projects. Your experience and preferences would determine which team could be right for you.

Typically, Automation Engineers in the Services Team are on-call 1 week in 8 or 10. During this time, you would get paid an extra on-call allowance just for being on-call. If you work on-call you get a special hourly rate that is paid a minimum of an hour and a half for any work that you do even if it is only a 10-minute call.

Ideal Skills and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Automation, Software, Mechatronics, Electrical, Process Engineering (or similar)
  • An engineering mindset – can understand and describe the process of automation
  • A Programmer with PLC, SCADA, and HMI coding and configuration experience
  • Need to be proficient with at least two major automation platforms i.e. Rockwell/Allen Bradley, Schneider, Siemens, Citect, GE, Omron
  • Experience in industrial automation within a relevant sector: i.e. Dairy, Food & Beverage, Energy/Power, General Manufacturing, Water & Wastewater
  • FAT, SAT, and Commissioning experience

Why Apply?
You will work out of an expansive modern office environment that feels a purpose built for this business.

You will be surrounded by a large team of like-minded engineers, an ideal place to continue to grow and gain experience in a range of work and industries.

This Company is very well setup with established systems and processes in place, and extensive code libraries going back many years.

They have a full bank of a range of PLC's so clients can come in and run through office simulations so any amendments can be made accordingly. Automation Engineering is done well and to a high standard here.

This is a full-time and permanent position, primarily working Monday to Friday and for 40 hours a week.

Sometimes in busy periods e.g. project commissioning overtime is required.

You will be paid a salary + base rate overtime after 45 hours + health insurance.

I have visited their offices and worked with their managers to place engineers here before, so I can give you more context if we chat for you to explore this opportunity.
