Required skills and experience:The successful candidate will be someone with a great attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well as part of a team. You will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician with the following skills and experience.
- A formal electrical trade and a current electrical practicing license.
- 5+ year’s electrical experience including working in food manufacturing industry.
- Previous installation and maintenance experience of industrial electrical equipment and components.
- Ability to understand electrical drawings and manuals.
- Experience with complex equipment, eg. checkweighers, metal detectors, packaging machines.
- Experience and knowledge of instrumentation.
- PLC & automation experience.
- Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis and other problem-solving exercises such as FMEA.
The Role:Reporting to the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler, this position is responsible for daily engineering operational requirements of the plant and machinery, as well as emergency and preventative maintenance activities. The role is available as the company is currently using contractors but wants to change that to an in-house Maintenance Electrician with food industry experience.
Hours: 3 weeks working 6.30am-3pm M-F, 1 week working 2.30pm-11pm M-F The Company: This is your opportunity to join a large and successful food manufacturer in Christchurch supplying to domestic and global markets.
