HGV Class 2 ADR Driver
 
Our client, a leading global distributor of scientific products, are looking for a Multi-drop HGV lorry driver, with a good knowledge of the UK road network. The role will consist of making deliveries and collections to/from a broad range of customers and suppliers.  This role will incorporate nights out on occasions.
 
Job Role
  • To carry out daily vehicle checks.
  • Deliver/collect company goods to/from customers/supplier’s premises
  • Establish and maintain good working relations with customers and report on same to managers as the need arises.
  • Adhere to M.O.T regulations (highway code, driving hours, ADR)
  • Complete Loading/Delivery run sheet and report missed deliveries
  • Assist the supervisor/manager with route development, planning and improvements.
  • Responsible for always using safe working practices when handling goods, equipment, and hazardous substances.
  • Embrace and participate in PPI (improvement) initiatives to identify improvements and cost savings to the business.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Ability to effectively interact with other disciplines within the Company such as Customer Service and Warehouse Teams.
  • Physical ability to perform materials handling responsibilities including sitting, standing, bending, lifting/carrying up to 25kg, walking, pushing/pulling.
  • Clean, current driving license, minimum Class C.
  • Drivers CPC (Driver Certificate of Professions Competency).
  • Ideally you would hold an ADR vocational license (transportation of hazardous substances).
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Clean, full UK driving licence, minimum Class C (18T)
  • Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for driving
  • More than 6 months experience in multi drop delivery driving.

  • 40.5 Hours Per week (01:30-04:00 starts)
