Key Responsibilities
:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering world-class structural engineering solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Provide mechanical engineering services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Take responsibility for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining structural engineering files, drawings, and documentation.
  • Ensure all designs and analyses comply with relevant Australian standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Oversee the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
 
Key Tasks:
As part of your role, you will be responsible for executing and overseeing key tasks such as:
  • Conduct detailed structural analysis and design using advanced engineering software and tools.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for mechanical and structural projects.
  • Review and assess the feasibility, mechanical integrity, and safety of designs and proposals.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs within the overall project framework.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations relevant to structural engineering and mechanical design.
 
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong experience in structural mechanical design, analysis, and engineering services.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • A solid understanding of Australian engineering standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.
