A the Team Leader, youl will be reporting to the Production Manager, oversees operations during their shift at our clients state-of-the-art recycling facility. As one of four Team Leaders managing 24/5 & 24/7 operations ,you must possess strong leadership skills and ensure operational goals are met. Responsibilities include managing the team, supporting maintenance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity.
Manage and support the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collaborate with peers to achieve KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Maintain high standards of manufacturing activities and product specifications.
Facilitate open and respectful communication across shifts and departments.
Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and team-building skills.
Y 12 or equivalent
Further education desirable.
The Team Leader is responsible for their shift's WHSE, quality, leadership, housekeeping, and operational performance. They lead by example, ensuring adherence to SOPs, focusing on quality, identifying process issues, and fostering a continuous improvement mindset. They manage people-related issues, provide feedback, and collaborate with peers. The Team Leader works with the Production Manager to achieve production targets, escalate issues, and develop team capabilities. They contribute to the operations team through open communication.
